Aegean Airlines
Aegean Airlines brought me onboard to design the wireframes for the components needed within the flight booking flow to allow customers to book sports equipment and pets onto their flight. This was predominantly a low-fidelity project since Aegean already had a design system in place.
Sports Equipment
For mobile, I decided to use a full-screen modal for selecting sports equipment. It is a complex process and with the limited space that you have on mobile devices it made more sense to utilise the full size of the screen. By using a mixture of search & paginated categories, it meant that users could find their sports equipment the way they want to. On Desktop, I made the decision to use a complex dropdown to offer the same functionality as mobile. This meant, again, that users could use multiple methods of search to find the sports equipment they were looking to take with them.
Pets
There were a few requirements to be aware of when designing pets. For example, it is possible for the user to select a seat that is not suitable for taking a pet onboard within the cabin. In this case, I used a disabled state for the list item to prevent the user from selecting it, I also added messaging above the dropdown to notify the user of the problem upfront. Additionally, the user is able to select multiple pets, and must be able to manage their selections after the fact.
Live Implementation
Below are screenshots from the actual implementation of my designs which are currently live on the Aegean Airlines flight booking flow.
